At the Early Learning Centre, we understand confidence is one of the valuable gifts we can pass onto our children. Children who feel confident are more likely to engage positively with the world around them, try new experiences and believe in themselves.  Watching little ones explore the world with wonder and curiosity creates lasting memories.

A great way to build confidence is by creating opportunities for children to explore their strengths, experiment with roleplay scenarios, and gain confidence in new experiences or tasks that they will encounter everyday.

In a study published by the Journal of Early Childhood Development  it was highlighted that children who tend to play with toys that instil confidence have better self-esteem and social skills.  This is due to these toys encourage creativity, co-operative play and problem-solving which encourage a child to believe in themselves and their abilities!

These toy suggestions from The Early Learning Centre are great for creating structured play and providing supportive environments for children to start exploring their sense of self, independence and capabilities and developing problem solving skills – all while having fun and playing.
