Children love to bounce, so save your sofas and mattresses with a made-for-the-job kids' trampoline. Your little jumpers will love the springy surfaces and range of bright designs, and there are even indoor trampolines for wet-weather bouncing. Start with an endearing little junior model for toddlers, which has a handle to get them going, or an inflatable bouncer (like a mini bouncy castle). When they become champion jumpers, graduate to a super-fun outdoor trampoline. Choose one that's big enough for the grown-ups to have a go (or simply sit back in your garden chair, watching them bounce off all that extra energy).
Garden trampolines
Looking for a garden toy that will keep your little one happy for years? An outdoor trampoline could be the perfect answer. Don't worry if you don't have much space – a six or seven-foot trampoline will fit into a modest-sized garden and provide the perfect space for your children to let off some steam. Look out for trampolines with enclosures for safe bouncing (and to prevent pet invasions while there's jumping going on). Children's trampolines are a great way to keep them fit and active, develop motor skills and to simply have lots of fun. Trampolines are also thought to be helpful for some little ones with additional needs, giving them a fun outlet for their energy. Don't forget to keep your garden trampoline in tip-top condition with a cover.
Indoor trampolines
If you have a toddler with boundless enthusiasm for bouncing, an indoor junior trampoline is a superb way to keep them active, whatever the weather. When the sun comes it, simply pick it up and pop it outside for plenty of lovely fresh air and exercise. Toddler play dates are made extra-special with an inflatable bouncer, which is just like having their own little bouncy castle. Look out for models with slides (and make sure you have a pump...).
