My 1st Crayons is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bought for granddaughter I bought these little crayons for my granddaughter and although I think the design is excellent as they are very easy to hold it is very hard for both her and an adult to make an imprint with them. she tends to just bang them on the page to get dots. Not really what I had hoped for.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from My 1st Crayons -Great Design but Poor Crayons The design of the crayons is very good, easily held and used by toddlers with small hands and limited dexterity. Unfortunately, the crayons themselves are very hard and both my grandson, who is 20 months old, and myself, found it very difficult to make an impression with the crayons on any form of paper or card. Both he and I found this very frustrating, lots of effort, pressing down very hard on the paper and little drawing produced.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hard to use You have to press really hard to leave a mark with these crayons as an adult let alone a toddler. Sadly I'd have been better with normal crayola crayons. Let's hope the chalks are better quality...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ok.... but needs stronger colours I bought these for my granddaughter who is almost 2. The colours come out quite pale and although she can hold them she is unable to press down hard enough for them to write properly, which is a shame as she loves drawing

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great idea! These chubby crayons are a fantastic idea for little hands.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buy Chunky Crayons instead We bought these for our daughter's 1st birthday but she found them difficult to use, other than banging them straight down to make dots or circles as the grip means you are essentially writing with the palm of your hand. We replaced them fairly quickly with normal chunky crayons and she was much happier, as she was able to control the crayon far better.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Frustrating I bought these for my 20month old and whilst the design means they are easier to grip, the angle at which little ones hold them means that the plastic surround is what hits the blackboard and not the chalk itself. We have a chalkboard table so maybe used on an upright board they would work better. I bought standard chalks and they worked fine
