product information

This fantastic supermarket has plenty of space for putting all the merchandise out for customers to come and buy. There is a refrigerator for the juice, milk and eggs, shelves for tins and packets and baskets for fruit, veg and bread. There are also a set of weighing scales, a till and a trolley for customers to put their shopping in as they browse your shop.

It's fun to learn about the real world through roleplay and pretend play with the supermarket playset. Your little one will love using their imagination to make up lots of stories about the supermarket, and it's also great fun to play with friends: helping to build social and communication skills. The prices on the shelves also help boost early maths skills- encourage your little one to count up the items in the shopping basket and add up how much they come to.

Not suitable for children under 36 months due to small parts. Requires 3 x AA batteries.

Quick facts:

-Includes 20 accessories
-Lots of space to play
-Changeable open/ close sign
-Fun, bright colours

It was easy to put together, and for the price you got a lot of toys.
I brought it for a four year old and it says it should last till there about eight, but it seemed to small for when they get bigger. I think it would break easy if you had a heavy handed kid.

Fell to pieces a week after opening unfortunately had kept as a present so couldn't return. Til wouldn't work properly again and every time my daughter moved it it fell apart. The card products broke and the signs wouldn't stay in place and the fridge wouldn't shut. Don't recommend to anyone. We ended up using an old cardboard box much more durable and fun.

Fridge door does not stay closed and boards at base do not stay in.

Very disappointed

I wish I had read the reviews before I bought this as I pay full price of £60
This is not worth the money at all. I thought it would be the same quality as the elc kitchen that I bought 5 years ago and it's still going strong with my three boys. Please don't buy, don't waste your money xx

My son was bought this as a gift and unfortunately it is very disappointing.

The quality is very poor - very wobbly and in less than two weeks is falling apart. The trolley broke on the first day.

As it was a gift we'll hold on to it but if I had bought it myself I'd be taking it back to the shop. I was really sorry to see that they had paid £60 for this.

Don't buy it! There will be much better ones available elsewhere.

Cannot put into words how disappointed we are with this flimsy plastic product. £60 is a high price and my mum purchased the item for my young boys (2 and 3 years old) for Christmas. Firstly there is very little stock that comes with it so you will need to purchase more. The food that came with it contains a large amount of cardboard which by the end of Christmas day the was fit only for the bin, the cardboard backing on the supermarket was flimsy and wouldn't stay in place. The door to the 'fridge' would not shut or stay shut. The till and scales are just plastic with stickers on. The 'till' is not a standard size and comes only with a small amount of money, the other play money you can get in ELC is too big and with one days play the buttons fell through and we had to take it apart to fix it. All in all, a few weeks into Jan and it looks like it has been played with for years and it ready for a skip. Very very poor for ELC

Fantastic service from start to finish. My grandson loves playing with this shop. Excellent value for money and it was in the sale. No hassle with ordering or delivery. I would definitely recommend this product.

Very shocked at the quality of this toy since I usually find ELC toys very durable and of good quality.
I bought this toy at half price a few months ahead of my daughters birthday. Had I purchased it when I still had time to return it, then it would have been returned for a refund because the quality was laughable.
The plastic is very thin, the door constantly falls off and the window of the door is made of a very thin clear sheet of plastic which bends. (The type of plastic you find of toy packaging). My children are learning about money at school so I bought this in the hope it would have some learning through play educational benefit but since the scales have a sticker for the display and so does the till, the play factor is very limited. It doesn't come with any coins only a couple of tiny thin notes. The open and close sign is impossible for the children to display correctly and it just constantly falls off. I can see this lasting a week before it is binned! I think ELC should consider removing this item from their product line.

Only bought this in July (AT FULL PRICE OF £60!!!!) and as previous review state poor quality, very disappointed as falls apart often, poor value for money and very disappointed. Have seen sturdier wooden market stalls/shops for less money and better quality.

All of this aside my three year old twins do enjoy playing with it but I do get frequent requests to "sort it as broken again"

First review i've ever written because i wanted to express my disappointment of this product. Poor quality, flimsy, fridge door come off, doesnt sit up right i have to lean it against someething. The back wheels constantly fall off the trolley. My son still plays with it but im gutted it always breaks. wish i'd chosen a different one there are plenty of others on the market for a similar price.
