product information

The Smart Trike Vanilla 4-in-1 is a fun trike that grows with your child, converting from a secure baby tricycle to an independent trike.

Quick facts:

-Includes exclusive Touch Steering
-Double injection wheels for comfort
-Comes with a coordinating printed protective canopy and material bag
-Made with a steel frame
-Converts from a secure baby trike into an independent tricycle
-Easy switch from parent Touch Steering to allowing your child to be in control
-Manoeuvres like your stroller
-A 4-in-1 trike which is suitable from 10 months

Great for your child's development:

Riding a trike is a brilliant way to strengthen little legs and practise balancing skills for a bike later on in life. The 4-in-1 Vanilla Smart Trike takes your little one from ride along stage to beyond, as it transforms from a parent-steered ride along to a classic pedal trike that your child can use all by themselves. As your little one gets pedalling and steering, it's also a great way to get some exercise.

ELC star quality:

The Vanilla manoeuvres like a stroller for a smooth drive, with the lightest touch you can push the trike in the direction you wish to go. When your little one is ready to be in control, the navigator button on the mudguard lets you to easily switch from parent Touch Steering™ to allowing them free reign around the park or garden.

What you need to know:

Stage 1: At 10 months your baby can safely use the foot rest and high-back support.
Stage 2: At 18 months the seat converts while parents can still push and control the trike. Your baby can enjoy the ride while developing confidence, balance & motor skills.
Stage 3: At 24 months it becomes a training trike, where your little one learns to pedal.
Stage 4: At 30 months, remove parent handle, switch navigator button and the product becomes an independent trike that your little one can pedal by themselves.

I researched these trikes and scrutinised the reviews. I ended up choosing this one despite some lukewarm reviews about the difficulty putting it together. It arrived as predicted, in good condition and very easy to follow the instructions supported by the You Tube film.
As I was anxious about putting this together I ordered it way before I need it for our granddaughters first birthday.
I'm very pleased with the finished product, it's sturdy and pretty and feels solidly safe.
Great product and worth the money to me.

I bought this trike for my 2 year old daughter. She loves it. It steers really well as she cant quite pedal by herself. Assembling it was a bit tricky, i did have to take it back to Mothercare for them to fix the main handle bar as it was not fitting in as it should have.
The only disadvantage is that it is too bulky to place in the car. Its light in weight but should allow to fold easily to place in the car.
Overall good value for money and a great product.

I was disappointed as the handle used to push the trike does not control the front wheel unlike the one I bought for my other grand daughter 18 months ago. It is supposed to, but we have taken it apart twice and can't get it moving. Poor instructions. Considering taking it back.

Bought this for my 2yr old grand daughter and she loves it. The lock system on the front wheel is a great feature allowing me to easily control direction. Nice sturdy trike which will grow with her.

My daughter has not stopped wanting to go in this product. We are out and about in it almost everyday, weather permitting. It's a shame there isn't a rain cover for it because we would use it all the time!

Bought this for my granddaughters 1st birthday. She loves it! Trike is a lovely colour and ideal for a one year old and brilliant for when they go through the next couple of years or so.

ELC was the cheapest I found for this trike so would recommend everyone to buy from them.

does the steering handle turn the front wheel?
    1. Jill replied on
      No

Wots the difference between the 59.99 one and the 79.99 bike.

don't know, looked at the spec on both as my daughter did say the wheels are noisy, but the more expensive trike did not seem to have better tyres.
