A dinosaur of the Cretacious period- the third and final era of the dinosaurs- the Tyrannosaurus Rex grew up to twelve metres long and up to six metres tall. Massive leg muscles and a long, powerful tail helped it move very quickly to chase prey, and strong jaws and sharp, serrated teeth were built for chomping and eating meat. Its arms were small compared to the rest of it, but although they couldn't reach very far, they were strong enough to hold onto struggling prey. As well as hunting for itself, the T-Rex may have also been a scavenger.
Not suitable for children under 36 months.
