product information

To fill one side of your sand and water table we recommend between 10-20kg of sand. Sand is available separately. 10kg bags are only available in stores. 5kg bags of natural and coloured sand are available online.

The Sand and Water Table will provide hours of creative fun. It has two troughs, so you can fill one with sand (available separately) and one with water – or fill both with sand or both with water. The Sand and Water Table comes with 10 fun toys, so your child can really enjoy getting absorbed in playing with sand and water. The Sand and Water Table comes with a rake, spade, boat, scoop, funnels, moulds, wheels and more. There is a handy waterproof lid to keep your sand clean and dry, and the toys fit neatly inside. The lid has a fun road built into it, so when the lid is on, your toddler can use the Sand and Water Table as a play table too. The track fits all Magnetic Trio vehicles (available separately). The legs come off so you can store the sand and Water table away more easily.

Quick facts:
•Fun Sand and Water Table to fascinate your toddler
•10 fun toys to play with
•Comes with a waterproof lid, which is also a car track
•Great for really enjoyable hands-on discovery

Great for your child's development:
Playing with sand and water in the Sand and Water Table is a really good way for your young child to discover new textures and find out 'what happens when …'. Experimenting develops your child's natural curiosity about their world. And exploring helps your child feel confident about following their own ideas. Playing with sand and water with their hands, and using tools such as rakes and moulds to scoop and pour, help your toddler build good fine motor skills, which help so much with dressing, drawing and writing later on.

What you need to know:

Pack contents: 1 x sandpit, 1 x sandpit cover, 1 x boat, 2 x star moulds, 2 x funnels, 2 x spinning wheels, 1 x scoop, 1 x roller and wheel set, 1 x rake, 1 x spade.

Size: Height 45cm x length 65cm x width 65cm.

Self-assembly: The table is easy to assemble. You simply slot the legs onto the two parts of the table. The table is light and easy to lift to empty and clean.

Playing tips:

Half 'n' half
We can fill one side with water and one with sand, both sides with water, or both with sand.

Super sand play
Let's scoop, pour and pat and sand. We can bury toys deep down and dig them up. We can build little castles and knock them down. We can dig ditches or mould with our hands and drizzle the sand through the spinning wheel.

Water and waves
Let's create a storm in the water with our arms and watch the boat bob. We can see which toys sink and which ones float and pour water from right up high. We can even mix the sand and water to make a BIG MESS.

Colours may vary.

He is still too young, so he climbs in it and just throws the sand out. But he really enjoys playing with it and it gives him so much fun
I think once he is older he will understand it more. 18 months too young. But he does enjoy playing with it

Here's a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the Sand and Water Table

  1. Tracey asked on
When the sand and water inevitably get mixed up, and then your toddler requests dry sand, how do you get rid of the wet sand?
    1. Jemma replied on
I'm a little confused about your question Tracey, sorry. However do you mean how to remove the sand from the table? If so, a spade to remove the majority of it, then for the fiddly bits at the bottom you can undo the plug and wash the rest of the sand out.

Bear in mind that the sand will dry in the sun/away from water anyway, so you may not even have to get rid of it.

If you are asking where you can get rid of it, then you can sprinkle it lightly on your grass or flower beds.
But we have found the sand just dries nicely in the sun anyway.
    2. Suzanne replied on
In truth so far she hasn't, seems to love the water best. But in order to satisfy my own touch of OCD I have scooped out some of the water and also just let some drain out of the plug hole. (Both sides have plugholes). Then I just left the sand to dry in the sun. Also we didn't put all the sand in at once, so have plenty to top up when needed.
  2. Sara asked on
Is 5kg bag of sand enough to fill one side?
    1. Claire replied on
If you want to fill one side I would recommend 2 bags of sand.
    2. Julia replied on
I found one bag was plenty to start with. I bought two so that I can top up as the sand did get spread around as a natural need to fill up things other than those actually in the table! Great fun!

  3. Sue asked on
how water tight is the lid?
    1. Rachel replied on
Hello, to be honest it hasn't rained since I've had it but I'd say it should be pretty water tight if you ensure that the join fits snuggly and the lid is secured firmly in place.
    2. Tonia replied on
Its been fine for us.. Although we've only had drizzly rain since purchasing
  4. jay asked on
    Is the lid waterproof?
    1. Maria replied on
      Yes
  5. Debbie asked on
Does it have a drainage /plug hole to empty the water?
    1. V replied on
yes it has plugs on both sides
  6. Keri asked on
I have a tall 3 year old will this be too small
    1. Reetagauri replied on
No, uptil age 6 years plays with it. Sometimes just filled with sand or sometimes water only. I am childminder. Children love to play with it and enjoys longtime playing just with the sand and water. They like again and again playing.
  7. Christine asked on
Does this come with a cover?
    1. Maria replied on
      Yes
