- This was bought as a replacement to an existing swing/slide set from another manufacturer which after 5/6 years of use/abuse was starting to show its age. The Indri set is delivered as 3 wood packages + the slide and seats, and TP claim two-adult assembly in 4 hours. Unfortunately we got off to a bad start when, following delivery, I realised one of the wood packs had been duplicated, so the whole thing had to sit around for ca. 2 weeks (with the kids going mad) whilst TP responded to my (and ELC's) contacts, 1 week, followed by separate pick-up and delivery of the new pack (1 week), same bloke same van on each occasion! The assembly instructions are good and detailed, but I seriously doubt an entire Formula 1 pit crew could put it together in the stated 4 hours. Like most people, I suspect, my second adult was in "helper" rather than "assembler" mode, and the whole thing took ca. 14 hours to complete over 3 days. If your toolbox is like mine (good for putting up mirrors, shelves and assembling the odd Ikea cabinet) then you will need to acquire a socket set for a small number of recessed bolts, which also held the job up, and I'd also recommend an electric screwdriver. The main platform/slide is sturdy enough, and we particularly like the boarded sides which reduce the risk of the kids taking a tumble from the platform. Compared to the previous set, however, we find the swing arm and A-frame to be a bit on the flimsy side, especially in use by the older kids, when it tries to walk across the lawn - you will definitely need to stake/cement it into the ground, and I am still working out how I will do this and be able to mow the lawn. In terms of quality - generally good, especially for the structural components. Some of the step, platform and roof boards do feel a little flimsy so it will be interesting to see whether the Indri survives as many Yorkshire winters as our previous set - oh, and one final point, TP recommend treating the wood with a preservative - so another solid 4 hours spent doing this last weekend. Fortunately the kids love it though!
