My son loves playing with the beads on the top of his cube.
The only downside is that the cube has 2 number 5's where the numbers are and there is not a number 6

Bought this in the pre-christmas sale for my nephews (21/2 and 13 months) both are heavy handed & inquisitive. Having seen these at a large toy retailers for £40 I was delighted to get this one for £21.
This toy was highly anticipated having used the bead maze table in a Drs surgery- and hasn't disappointed. Obviously it's smaller scale but they were both drawn to the moving parts immediately and I can see it will keep them entertained. My only gripe is the cube is quite lightweight and the oldest was able to move it easily and lift the bead maze off the top clouting his brother round in the process. At one point it was being used as a tunnel. The top is held in place by two swivel blocks which move quite easily- These could either be tightened or the lid could be glued in place (though the reason is obviously easier storage) all in all for the reduced price it s a good toy and was exactly the same quality as the one for 40 quid

Here’s a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the Mothercare Safari Wooden Activity Cube

  1. marc asked on
this product as a cube shape has 8 edges. is this product suitable for a 13 month year old . i believe the edges maybe a issue if baby is up right and unstable on they feet
    1. Joanna replied on
This is fine for a 13 month old, the edges are smooth so not dangerous. My son often pulls the cube over and has not hurt himself and he is slightly unsteady on his feet.
  2. A shopper asked on
Does the cube come flat packed?
    1. Marion replied on
No, but the bead maze can be inverted into the cube for ease of transport.
  3. A shopper asked on
How durable is it? can it break easily?
    1. hannah replied on
It is very durable. I would say it is highly unlikely that it would break
    2. Joanna replied on
      It is extremely durable.
  4. A shopper asked on
How do you get the xylophone bit to actually make a noise? The pieces seem to be fixed down, do I need to loosen something?
    1. hannah replied on
You don't need to loosen anythin as it will make a sound. Each block has Iits own sound. My little boy loves it. Hope this helps
    2. Joanna replied on
It is fixed down and don't need to be loosend. It comes with a stick and sounds absolutely fine.
