We enjoy using this chart together, my boys look forward to doing their tasks and enjoy choosing which magnet to put on!
Slightly small spaces for the magnets if you have more that one child using the chart, otherwise its fab :)

I had been looking for a new reward chart for my 4 year old son to help with issues around getting ready for school in the morning and getting ready for bed at night. I wanted something that would last him and was better quality than some of the cardboard ones I had seen. This fitted the bill perfectly!

There are plenty of different 'responsibilities' to choose from, plus a couple of blank ones so you can write your own. Some of the things I don't ask my son to do at the moment, e.g. fill the dishwasher, but they will be suitable for when he's older. I can see this chart lasting for a long time as it is such good quality. It has already started to improve my son's behaviour and he loves choosing his smiley face and putting it on the chart when he's been good! A great buy!

It's an Awesome Board to help start and get your little ones into a routine and give them little chores or work on different habits with them like Things like “put toys away” or “stop whining.” and don't use" bad language" " Brush Teeth and clean your room etc . There are also a few that you can customize and come up with your own goals for the week.
I love charts to keep track of these things. I love the visual for the kids- reminders as to what they have to do as well as a way for them to see how they are doing. She was very proud when she started to see her chart flowing with reward tokens for when she gets rewarded for encouraging and positive behaviour, like helping to put her toys away . This has helped with her tantrums as she loves to skip over to add another feel good chip.. Very colourful fun Board with loads of encouraging positive empowering words that are child friendly like Awesome, way to Go, Great Job, Looking Good etc . She does sneak and add extra tokens when she thinks no ones looking lol.. If she meets her goal of having a set number of smiley faces at the end of the week, she gets a small prize like a book, trip to the farm or get stay up half a hour on the weekend. etc. The prize is up to you.
. I would say Perfect for 4 year olds and older. We have so many visitors ask about the Board when they see it hanging up on the Wall in the lounge , they go over to inspect it.. I have seen it priced for more than £14.99.. I would definitely recommend this Board..

Sorry ELC for bad grammar I'm dyslexic.

Here's a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the Melissa & Doug Responsibility Chart

  1. Danielle asked on

Is this suitable for a two year old? I'm sure she would understand the rewards for good behaviour.

    Thanks in advance

    1. Sandra replied on
I guess so, we bought it for our 5 year old as we hadn't had one before and it tied in with school. I guess it's never too early to learn about rewards and chores/good behaviour. Some of the tasks are simple to understand and appropriate for a toddler "say please and thank you"... It's certainly made to last and they'll grow into the more complicated tasks. Good luck x
