Great for your child's development:
Designing and building their own marble runs with the Marble Madness Game is great for getting your child to think about different combinations of pieces. And they can find out what works well, through trail and error. This game helps to develop good problem-solving skills. Experimenting with 'what happens if …' helps your child learn about cause and effect, and encourages their natural curiosity about the world. Putting the Marble Madness Game pieces together is great for little hands to develop strength and coordination, and develops fine motor skills, which are so useful for playing, dressing, drawing and writing. Building marble runs with friends and family is good for building social and communication skills.

ELC star quality:
We love the Marble Madness Game because it offers such a fantastic range of fun play for your child. Working out what makes a good run, putting the pieces together, and using trial and error to work out what kind of design works well is so satisfying! Creating different marble runs is a really rewarding play for your child. And while they're enjoying themselves, your child is learning lots about how objects behave too.

What you need to know:

Pack contents: 50 building pieces (including a snake run and revolving spinners) plus 10 marbles.

Other toys and accessories available separately.

Safety warnings: Not suitable for children under 36 months due to small parts.

Playing tips:

Let's build a marble run
We can choose slides, a loop the loop, a cascade, revolving spinners and lots of tubes to make our own mad marble run. Let's put a marble in a starting grid and watch it race through the maze.

Making our run better and better
Let's test-drive our run, and weed out any dead-ends. We can redesign and refine our masterpiece, and emerge as the marble maestro. Ladies and gentlemen, I bring you the crazy cascade: just watch this everyone.

'Mission Marble'
Can we create a mega run featuring every single piece? It's a challenge, but we're up to the job. Let's get building, get those marbles on their starting grids, and go go go.

Great for:
Playing together – we can each make a run with half the pieces
Playing by yourself on a rainy day – you won't notice the weather
Using props to give more height, e.g. the box, a play table, or Mum's foot (only joking)
Making a massive multi run, with lots of starts and finishes
Turning the cat cross-eyed – Tigger stop staring or you'll get a headache
Hours of fiddling and redesigning, to become a serious marble pro
How slow can you go – make a run for a marble that takes its time
Synchronised starts: start off all the runs at the same time
Asserting your rights: it's true Dad, marbles were never this fun in your day. But can we have it back now?
Manic marble relays: as soon as a marble finishes, let's put it straight back to the top.

I have had great fun with this - sorry my son and I.

It takes a little bit of time to put together and sometimes falls down because of the way it works (nothing wrong with it), but it's great fun to play with.

All the family has really enjoyed it.

Bought this for our sons third birthday in March as I remember loving mine when I was little. It isn't as sturdy as the old ones and im not a fan of the orange bits to start the marbles off as the marbles usually have to be pushed round (that could be or uneven cottage floor). It is however easy to put together and great fun. He needed a little help at first but now makes fab structures by himself. It is number one toy in our house and has been played with daily for 8months. The fact that it's not the sturdiest means that it's easy to knock down when he likes too which he enjoys. It has entertained adults & kids for hours. Our eleven year old niece loved it so much she asked her mum for one. I do think that there are better ones out there especially for older ones but it's a great starter.

I was excited to set this up for my 4 year old but what a disappointment it was. So flimsy that when we were lucky enough to set it up it very quickly got knocked down if anyone so much as breathed on it. It didn't even use proper marbles only very light silver plastic balls that would just bounce off. A very fun looking product that unfortunately caused more frustration than fun. Taken back to shop and an alternative similar product that is more durable sought.

got this for my 4 year old daughter after she played with a friend's marble run at a party. she loves it! we help her to build different 'runs' and she loves putting the marbles in the different holes and seeing where they come out. it does fall over easily, however i think it's important for children to learn how to play with toys carefully and gently - and my daughter has CP making her quite clumsy but she manages to play with this without a problem. she has begun to make her own simple marble runs, and our friends little boy loved playing with it with her (his mum has now ordered one for him!). i'm a teacher and the 4, 5 and 6 year olds in my class love playing with this toy in child initiated planning sessions to. i love this toy - beats branded, tacky toys so many children tend to ask for. instead this is a toy they will play with for years to come and one which encourages ingenuity, imagination, persistence, creativity and most of all enjoyment x
