Here's a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the ELC Wooden Castle

  1. les asked on
Is this similar style to the elc farmyard as my 3 year old has managed to break parts of that as it seems to be made of cheap wood or cardboard and so some of the parts dont work. Thinking of getting it as a 4th birhday present- is it durable for strong rough boys?!

    1. Andros replied on

I think its a tough castle and quite durable...It would take some effort for a four year old to break it.
So its probably a good birthday present.
  2. Lisa asked on
Where can I buy extra figures to go with the castle .?
    1. Roy replied on
We bought ours from the ELC, but guess what our grandson uses pirate figures for playtime in this wonderful toy setting.
I wouldn't worry too much about scale of the figures as my grandson 4 and granddaughter are often spotted using the figures in her dollls house!!!
      I hope this helps
    2. Jeff replied on
Extra figures were available from ELC. Try play mobile Knights. My grandson has ELC pirate ship and figures which he uses to attack the castle
  3. Nikolinka asked on
Hi, can someone send a photo of the Instructions to build the castle because we lost it. Thank you a lot. Between it is a great gift for 5-6 year old kids. Our son is so happy to have it as a Christmas gift, he is 5 yo.

      Thank you for your enquiry.

These are available on the ELC website using the following link.
  4. Mollie asked on
Is it ok for a 5 year old and is it quite sturdy when up
    1. Helen replied on
Yes it is good for a 5 year old. It is sturdy as long as you don't try to move it. It's quite big and some of the upright slats drop down when you lift it.
    2. chris replied on
HI Mollie, We bought it for a 4 yr old who is still a bit rough with toys, it is quite large when built up, but very robust, it has been played with loads, so good value
  5. John asked on
What are the dimensions of the base when in rectangular mode? Also I am confused about the 9cm depth measurement - can you please explain further?
Is it the horizontal depth across the ramparts area, for instance?

      Hi John
      Thank you for your enquiry.
The dimensions of the built castle are:

      52cm W
      62cm D
      30cm H

      And when opened out:

      120cm W
      40cm D
      30cm H

  6. Claire asked on
Hi, is the length of the whole castle when opened up 47cm or is that just the front bit? If not how long is it in total when opened out, thankyou :)
    1. Gavin replied on
Customer Care Team Early Learning Centre

      Thank you for your enquiry.

47cm is the width of the front panel, when you fully open the castle out it will be approx. 110-115cm.
  7. Sarah asked on
Are any Knights or horses included or do I need to buy the, separately?

    1. Andy replied on

To answer your question. It comes with 1 knight so we bought a pack of knights and horses separately.

The castle itself is really good quality.

      Hope this helps
  8. Lynn asked on
What is the height of the drawbridge as I need to ensure that the knights that my grandson has will fit into it
    1. Melissa replied on
      About 11cm.
    2. Melody replied on
      About 11 cm
