Coming in a pack of four, these colourful foam floor mats provide a soft area for your little one to play on indoors or outdoors. The mats interlock like a jigsaw puzzle, so your little one will have almost as much fun putting them down as playing on them, and more packs (sold separately) can be easily added to create a large surface

Connect them up in a line, piece them together in a square or even use them separately as different activity stations.

-Line them up, group them in a square or play on them separately.

Here's a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the 4 Recreation Mats

  1. Lisa asked on
Are these mats quite hardy? I have bought some similar cheap ones but my 8 month old heaps lifting them up and they bend really easily so I need something thicker and more sturdy.
    1. Sarah replied on
We've had ours for nearly 12 months, they are out every day and there's not a mark on them, they are easily cleaned and have not split or broken! My 11 month old can lift them up, and they do bend but ours have never been damaged. Hope this helps.
    2. Renata replied on
Hi. These are perfect, they are sturdy and thick, nothing in comparison to any others out there, i have just last week bought another 4 so my daughter can build a house with it. Highly recommend them, you will not be disappointed.
  2. Alan asked on
Does anyone know if these mats fit together with the number and letter ones? I know they're different sizes overall but are the little joining piece bits the same size?
    1. Ruby replied on
Customer Care Team Early Learning Centre
      HI Alan
      Thank you for your enquiry.
The recreation mat will not fit the number and letter ones.

  3. Lee asked on
How long would these tiles last if they were layed outside permenantly as a surface?
    1. Sharon replied on
I think I've had mine about 8 months now and they are constantly on the floor. There's a few dents from where some furniture has been on them but other than that they are perfect. I'm not sure whether they would be OK if they were left outside though??
    2. Danielle replied on
I'm in Aberdeen and mine have been outside since I brought them in May. Apart from some bleaching from the sun they have been fine.
  4. Jo asked on
Could these be used inside playhouse outside? Are they waterproof? Thanks
    1. Jeremy replied on
      Hi Jo,
I think these are a closed cell foam, that is to say they will not absorb water. They wipe clean and look nice and bright, so whilst I wouldn't leave them out all year. I would suggest they would be fine outside.
Just bare in mind they will blow away, as they are really light. Hope that helps....Jeremy
    2. Wendy replied on
I too am not sure waterproof but am using them inside playhouse for ease and using them on grass. They wipe clean and so far have been very useful
  5. john asked on
What is the reason for these being only suitable from 3 years old?
    1. Juls replied on
We bought these for our 1yr old to stop him falling on a hard kitchen floor but I imagine it may be to do with their size (they are large so difficult to manoeuvre for small children) and the potential for smaller children to take a bite out of them.
    2. Julia replied on
I am a childminder and use these mats in the playroom as I have wooden floors. They form good protection in case a child falls. It is also more comfortable for the children the sit on rather than a hard floor. The possibility of a 1 year old taking a bite out of one is quite small but I suppose they have to say this for their own safety reasons. The children I care for range from 7 months to 5 years and I have never had any problems or seen any potential hazard
  6. Rose asked on
In the description it says that they are 25 inches square. Is this right or are they 25cm square?
    1. helen replied on
25 inches, they are quite big and thick, great quality I think.
    2. Sarah replied on
      Approx 60cm square.
